Location:Dodson Medical Office BuildingDepartment:Cln-CranofacialShift:First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours:8Summary:The Principal NAM Tech Trainer performs duties such as: establish and define the processes to prepare the patient for a variety of treatment procedures, assist the physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in performing all treatment procedures on the patient, prepare materials and equipment for treatment and have them ready for the provider's use , prepare patients for x-rays and assist the provider with processing/taking impressions and photographs as needed of patients (surgical records). May establish other processes, as needed, to prepare NAM Techs to perform other related work to include, but not limited to, maintaining lab area and equipment, making appliance follow-ups, answer phone calls for doctors and surgeons who need assistance in clinic, pour up impressions in lab with stone and mount them on articulator as needed for fabrication of surgical splints or any other appliances. The Principal NAM Tech Trainer will also establish standard operating procedures for NAM Techs to adhere to according to treatment plan made, start taping if necessary, then fabricate NAM (nasal alveolar molding) external or intraoral with nasal arm. Be able to operate scanner and 3-D printer if one is available. Occasionally help with equipment and other duties around the office. The Principal NAM Tech Trainer will ensure processes and methodologies are in place to ensure the NAM Tech will work well with children which may include children with behavioral and/or developmental disorders.Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of pre-surgical orthopedics training (NAM) required
  • 2 years clinical experience required
  • 1 year of training/experience in NAM required
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish preferred)Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
