Job Functions
? Responsible for the Company?s reserve report and working with
third party reserve report engineering firms.
? Provide engineering technical analysis in connection with the
Company?s capital budgeting and AFE approval processes, financial
and cash flow projections, and potential acquisitions
? Assist with the preparation of decline curves, determine
estimated reserves, perform economic analysis, to evaluate drilling
prospects for participation or purchase
? Work in conjunction with the geology team to develop
prospects
? Work with the Company?s CFO and accounting team to provide
engineering related information to financial institutions and other
capital sources
? Prepare and make technical presentations to Partners, Finance and
Management
? Be able to perform economic modeling
? Evaluate and interpret well logs
? Provide technical expertise in the area of reservoir engineering,
reserves management and economic evaluations.
? Artificial lift systems design and application
? Assist the operations group with analyzing log, core, and other
field data to design completions, and select production
equipment
? Will be responsible for construction of reliable simulation
models for dynamic simulation with the objective of optimizing
production rate and ultimate recovery that are consistent with
available data.
? Application of current and future production technology
? Assist with the modernization of the Company?s IT processes and
systems from a reservoir engineering perspective to maintain an
up-to-date information on the Company?s assets
? Support the Company?s senior management by providing engineering
and technical expertise as needed
Qualifications
? Reservoir Engineer with 5 to 7 years of relevant upstream
experience
? Bachelor?sdegree in Engineering or other technical discipline
? Proficient user of PHDWin or ARIES
? Familiarity with Drilling Info or IHS Power Tools
? Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and other data management
tools/applications
? Excellent presentation and communication skills
? Experience in acquisition evaluations, and reserve estimations
using decline curve analysis
? A broad understanding of the E&P business, preferably Permian
Basin experience
? Basic understanding of Pressure Transient Analysis
? Ability to calculate reserves by volumetric, material balance or
decline curve analysis as appropriate
? Team player, ?can-do? attitude
