Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Director to provide physician
support for clinical operations and benefit coverage
determinations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct coverage reviews and render coverage determinations based
on member plan benefits
Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with requesting providers as
needed
Collaborate with network and non-network providers to ensure timely
benefit determinations
Required Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree
Board certification approved by the American Board of Medical
Specialties (ABMS)
Active unrestricted medical license in Texas, Kentucky, or North
Carolina
5+ years of clinical practice experience post-residency
Sound understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM)
