Job Description:

Radiologic Technologist needed at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Uptown to perform various technical tasks in operating x-ray equipment and assist with medical procedures.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Uptown is a joint venture surgical hospital providing a wide range of medical and surgical services. The hospital specializes in inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Job Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Perform radiologic procedures in Orthopedic Radiology, Pediatric Radiology, and Operating Room Radiology.
  
• Adjust x-ray equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
  
• Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment; explain x-ray procedures to patients.
  
• Position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required.
  
• Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
  
• Record and label film with identifying information; sort as required.
  
• Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
  
• Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
    
  • AART Registered and CPR Current.
    
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
    
  • Independent decision-making skills.
    
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
    
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
