Cardiovascular APP position -
Fort Worth, Texas -
Baylor Scott & White, Heart and Vascular Hospital Fort Worth is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join their growing cardiology team in the cardiac catheterization pre/post procedural unit. The APP will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular and electrophysiology disorders. This position requires no weekends, holidays or call. -
Opportunity Highlights:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - No weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Area: Pre/post cardiac catheterization unit - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Perform history and physical consultation for patients scheduled for cardiac, EP or vascular procedure -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Manage post procedural complications -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular disease processes, independently and in collaboration with the physician(s) -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Discharge patients from the cardiology, electrophysiology (EP), and/or CVS service lines, and provide appropriate follow-up -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Limited inpatient rounding responsibilities - -
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Graduate of an accredited AGACNP nurse practitioner program or PA program -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cardiology experience preferred but not required -
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) OR the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant (PA) OR Nurse Practitioner (NP) AGACNP license, Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer. - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire or transfer. -
